Micah Project

Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with God.

Our congregation seeks to serve so that we’re always looking for different opportunities to serve together. While there are more regular commitments to serve with the Preble Street Soup Kitchen or serve through a week-long Mission Trip, we seek to offer opportunities that will offer one-day opportunities to be engaged in local mission. It’s an opportunity to use more than the offering you put into the plate on Sunday. It’s an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and live into the prophet Micah’s call to love kindness together.

Our Next Micah Project

Let’s walk for affordable housing in Southern Maine!

Our next Micah Project will be on Sunday May 20, 2012 when we join efforts with other congregations in Greater Portland to support Habitat for Humanity in the annual Portland Interfaith Walk. This 4.5 mile walk begins at 1:00 PM at St. Pius X Church at 492 Ocean Avenue, Portland. We hope that the funds gathered through this activity will support the building we hope to do in Freeport this summer with Habitat for Humanity. Look for more information soon.

Our Following Micah Projects

These opportunities are still being planned. If you are interested in an update or have any questions about this ministry, please contact Deb Theriault.
