Saturday’s dinner and auction to support next summer’s mission trip was an amazing event. The energy and excitement were worth the price of admission, but there was lots more: spaghetti for nearly 150 (coordinated by Scott Berry, with Peggy Murray chef extraordinaire), silent and live auctions (organized by Jodie Ramsey and Deb Theriault, with Tom Saturley our celebrity auctioneer), and with many more helping hands, we raised $5,500!! With nearly $2,000 from the Christmas and special offerings, the volunteers are getting ready for Mission Trip 2011, a week in July with the Maine Seacoast Mission in Washington County.
The funds raised will both go directly to the Seacoast Mission and will also offer cover the expenses our 17 volunteers who are who are donating a week of their time. Watch for updates, and thank you, everyone!
