The Frog Class: This class is for younger children who are beginning their first school experience and it meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Frog friends are introduced to the daily routines of a preschool classroom where the teachers focus on shapes, colors, early alphabet and math recognition, as well as seasonal themes. Teachers also guide children in learning social skills like sharing, cooperating and taking turns-all necessary to develop strong, healthy friendships. Our warm loving environment, combined with a low child to teacher ratio, makes this a wonderful first time preschool experience!
The Butterfly class: This program focuses on fostering independence and self reliance in children to prepare them for that next big milestone in their lives-Kindergarten! Butterfly children meet four days a week Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We work on letter recognition including letter sounds, early math skills such as counting and patterning, science through hands on activities, and pre-writing. Children are also taught American Sign Language for each letter of the alphabet and at the end of the year learn to sign their names. We strive to foster a love of books and reading is a favorite time of day for all of us. We dive into authors past and present with our “Author of the Month” and in the spring we celebrate authors from Maine!
As a nonprofit school we believe our tuition is comparatively affordable to similar programs in the area. The current monthly tuition for our Frog Class is $260 and for our Butterfly program it is $375. Tuition is due the first of the month. A $75 registration fee is required to enroll your child for the school year.
