Present: Jennifer Fetting, Elsa Peters, Carol Zechman, and Tom Hamerski.
1. Review of 11/3 Minutes
• Action Steps: Christ Kids Club- should Worship Discovery kids attend: This will be up to the individual children. Some have said they would like to attend while others do not.
• Action Steps: How do we make new members/visitors aware of Worship Discovery? Jennifer will follow-up on this.
• Action Step: New team member recruitment: Carol will email Andy Ellis and look at current team list and church directory for other ideas.
2. Faith Formation Update: Lengthy clarification discussion on the purpose of the Communion Meetings. Elsa advised that lay people will facilitate the meetings using the pamphlet that Elsa prepared earlier this year. Three dates were chosen (1/8, 1/22 & 1/29). Members of the EF&G team will attend and gather feedback. Feedback will be discussed at the February EF&G meeting. Elsa will write up a Description of the purpose and basic content for eh meetings for the Beacon and bulletins.
3. Sunday School Report: Carolyn was unable to attend the meeting. Carol will follow-up with Carolyn about Worship Discover processes. The K, 1 and 2 classes are quite large and should be divided or additional teachers should be recruited.
4. Advent To-Do List: Jennifer has taken care of the Eskimo Cookie sale scheduling. Tom will coordinate the cake for Jesus’ birthday party on Christmas Eve and the Advent Making workshop was canceled for this year, but no definitive decisions were made for future years.
5. Pageant Volunteers: Sally has requested that we recruit help for pageant practices.
6. Nursery Coordinator: Jennifer will put a sign-up sheet in the nursery. Carol will contact Elsa to see if there is an email list for parents with nursery age children and Carol can contact them to ask if one of them will volunteer to be the coordinator.
